The Relationship Between Organizational Culture, Work Engagement, and Organizational Commitment

Abstract


This study examines organizational culture’s influence on organizational commitment with work engagement as an intervening variable to the Aceh province police station. The population in this study was the police personnel of the Aceh province police which numbered 575, the sampling technique used proportionate stratified random sampling and obtained a sample of 170 respondents who were police officers of the Aceh province police station, the research method used is a quantitative method for data analysis method using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of this study indicate that organizational culture has a significant effect on work engagement and organizational commitment.  Work engagement has a substantial impact on organizational commitment. In this study, work engagement has the mediating role between the relationship organizational culture and organizational commitment. This is indicated that work engagement has the important role in the Aceh province police station to enhance the organizational commitment.
