Identification of the Using Digital Application by MSMEs in Jayapura City, Papua Province, Indonesia

Abstract


This study aims to identify the use of digital applications to support the businesses of MSMEs in Jayapura City. The respondents in this research were MSMEs in Jayapura City. The data used is data from 59 MSMEs actors spread across 5 districts. North Jayapura District have 10 rensponts, South Jayapura District have 12 responts, Muara Tami Distric have 12 responts, Abepura District have 14 responts and Heram District have 11 responts. Data was obtained using observation, interviews, questionnaires and Google forms. Based on statistical analysis, it was found that 89.83% of MSMEs have social media and 10.16% do not have social media. Sales made offline amounted to 74.57% and offline and online amounted to 25.42%. Cash payment methods were 93%, non-cash payments were 1.69% and cash and non-cash payments were 5.08%. Manual savings book ownership is 100%. Mobile banking ownership is 84.74% and those who do not have mobile banking are 15.25%. These results show that in general MSMEs in Jayapura City have communication facilities in the form of cell phones and social media. MSMEs have also used online sales methods and online payments. All MSMEs have savings books and most of them use mobile banking.
